Criteria:

To make the most out of the UWC experience and to adequately represent Ukraine on the international arena, the applicants should meet the following general requirements:

• 11th grade students: Applicants must be enrolled in 11th grade of high school in Ukraine.
• Excellent command of oral English: English is the language used for instruction and main language used for communication in most UWCs. Simon Bolivar UWC is the only exception, where such language is Spanish. Therefore, for most purposes, a good command of English will be a significant factor in the selection process. At some colleges situated in countries with official languages other than English, the students may be expected to learn those languages as well.
• Demonstrated Academic Excellence: The academic and extra-curricular schedule at UWC is extremely demanding. Therefore, to adequately participate in all aspects of UWC life, students must be very strong academically.
• Must be well-rounded and open-minded: To make the most out of the UWC experience and to adequately represent the talented youth of Ukraine, the applicants must be overall well erudite and open to new ideas. The applicants should also be able to demonstrate an understanding of how to effectively represent Ukraine abroad.
• Demonstrated understanding and support of UWC ideals: UWC is truly more than an ordinary educational institution abroad. It is a place for people who see the world for what it is and aspire to make it a better place for all of us.
• Demonstrated Communication and Leadership Skills: Ability to get one's points across to people of different academic, cultural and religious backgrounds is one of the key aspects of international understanding. Ability to take leadership among such diverse groups of people is a key to putting international understanding to work. Students are therefore expected to possess top communication and leadership expertise and experience.

If you believe you fit the requirements, proceed by acquiring the necessary documents from your school and filling out the Application Form(s), either by hand or on your computer.
